2026: Coup Fears, Tax Revolts, Political Shake-Ups — Primate Ayodele Drops Chilling Prophecies on Nigeria’s Future

Renowned cleric and spiritual leader, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has once again stirred national conversation after unveiling his prophecies for 2026, touching on Nigeria’s political stability, security architecture, economy, and key power players.

The founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church made these revelations during a press briefing held at his church in Lagos, where he outlined what he described as looming challenges and turning points for the nation.

According to Primate Ayodele, the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will continue to push aggressively to stabilize the economy. However, he warned that several government policies may struggle to gain widespread public approval. He hinted that economic reforms could spark resistance, urging the government to adopt proactive and people-centered approaches to avoid deepening public dissatisfaction.

On the issue of national security, the prophet raised serious concerns. He warned of possible military coup attempts, advising the president to strengthen engagement with both serving and retired military generals. According to him, ignoring internal security signals could prove dangerous. He also predicted notable changes within Aso Rock, including tighter security arrangements and new operational protocols.

Turning to the political landscape, Primate Ayodele spoke of internal threats and power struggles at the highest levels. He cautioned that Vice President Kashim Shettima could face plots, while the Office of the National Security Adviser may encounter significant challenges that demand alertness and strategic handling.

The cleric also foresaw heated reactions to tax reforms, warning that pension-related policies could trigger protests. He added that Northern political leaders may experience growing divisions, potentially weakening collective influence ahead of future elections.

On separatist movements and party politics, Primate Ayodele predicted that Nnamdi Kanu would eventually regain his freedom, but under strict conditions. He said the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) would continue to clash with the federal government, maintaining a tense standoff.

He further revealed that major political parties — including APC, PDP, Labour Party, and ADC — may be rocked by internal crises, court battles, and leadership disputes, setting the stage for an unstable political atmosphere as 2026 approaches.

As always, Primate Ayodele’s prophecies have sparked mixed reactions, with supporters calling for caution and critics urging Nigerians to focus on policy and governance rather than predictions.

What’s your take on these prophecies?

Do you see any of them playing out — or are they just warnings meant to provoke reflection?
