John Stones Faces 2-Week Sideline Period, Adding to Manchester City’s Injury Woes

Manchester City is grappling with yet another injury setback as John Stones is slated to remain sidelined until after the upcoming international break.

Stones is currently struggling to recuperate from a hip injury he sustained during the pre-season period. This ailment has prevented him from participating in Manchester City’s Premier League matches against Burnley and Newcastle.

His participation was also limited to the bench during the team’s triumphant penalty shoot-out against Sevilla in the Super Cup. Unfortunately, it appears he will need at least another three weeks to recover fully.

As a result of this injury, the 29-year-old player is expected to miss Manchester City’s subsequent two Premier League matches: the fixture against Sheffield United scheduled for August 27 and the match against Fulham set for September 2.
