Up-and-coming singer Shallipopi has been hit with a N200M lawsuit by veteran Edo singer Pa Monday Igbinidu for illegally sampling his song “Obapluto” (N’ogbaisi). Last week, Pa Monday called out Shallipopi and his mother for offering him N50K after the song was already recorded and published without proper authorization. Pa Monday gave Shallipopi a one-week deadline to address the issue, including acknowledging him on the song.
