The Mwaghavul people, natives of Mangu local government area in Plateau State, have accused the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) of displacing communities and taking over lands. The Mwaghavul tribe refuted MACBAN’s claim that their members were attacked by the operatives of Operation Rainbow, a state-owned security outfit. The Mwaghavul Development Association addressed journalists in Jos, revealing a list of villages attacked by Fulani herdsmen, resulting in the death of over 200 people. They called on the federal government to proscribe MACBAN as a terrorist organization and urged the government to provide support for the affected communities. The Mwaghavul people emphasized their commitment to living in peace with their neighbors and defending their ancestral land.
