Missing ex president of ASUU, Fasina, found

Dr. Dipo Fasina, the former National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), who was reported missing on July 1st in Istanbul, Turkey, has been located. According to reports, he was discovered at the airport in Istanbul, the same place where he had gone missing on the previous Saturday. It is worth noting that Fasina, also known as ‘Jingo,’ had been declared missing since July 1st. He had been en route to Algiers, Algeria, by way of Istanbul, Turkey, when he disappeared. Fasina, 76, dedicated over 30 years of his career as a Philosophy professor at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife after earning his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is also a trustee of ASUU and played a key role in establishing the Philosophy Department at the former Ogun State University in Ago Iwoye, teaching the subject at numerous universities throughout the country.
