Insecurity: Group seeks Nigerians’ support for the military

The National Security Assessment Group (NASG) has issued a call to Nigerians, urging them to lend their support to the military in its efforts to ensure the security of the country. The group expressed confidence in Major General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, and believes that with the backing of the citizens, the military will achieve greater success in its operations. In a statement released by the group’s President, Abiodun Idowu, it was emphasized that General Musa has a history of success and a positive rapport with troops. The NASG believes that with the support of the people, significant progress can be made, including improved welfare for Armed Forces personnel. The group also commended the military for prioritizing the welfare of retired military personnel and the Next of Kin of deceased servicemen, recognizing that such measures serve as strong motivators for the troops. The NASG expressed gratitude for these efforts and stated that they serve as a morale boost for the soldiers who are dedicated to ensuring peace and stability in the country. The group emphasized that the sacrifices made by the military personnel are not in vain, as they have the support of the nation.
