Biography of Funmilayo Ademakinwa
Funmilayo Ademakinwa also known as mama Ona-Igbani, is Nigerian gospel, high-Live musician and a song-writer.
Funmi was born in kwara state now kogi state, Nigeria.
Funmi was born into the family of Mr & Mrs Olorunnado, she hails from Kabba, a town situated in Kogi state, Western, Nigeria.
She attended L.S.M.B. primary school, Egbeda-Kabba, Kogi state.
Later went to Government Day Secondary School, Tanke Ilorin, between the period of 1984-1988. And also obtained a certificate N.D/CS III as a secretary from Kwara state Polytechnic, Ilorin.
She has worked as a secretary in one of a reputable company at Lagos Island for many years before she later organised a business center for computer at Ketu – Ikosi Rd, Lagos state.
She also went for Soap training & Cosmetics Technology Programme in 1990 and obtained a certificate from Movison Nigeria Services (A division of Shellac Limited). She started singing since her teenage age as a member of Anglican Church Choir, Egbeda – Kabba while she was still at primary school.
After she was converted at WOSEM Ilorin, she joined church choir in which she was one of their song composer in 1987.
She moved to Lagos where she established a musical group in 1993 called “Daughter of Zion”, later change to Ona- Igbani Gospel music, as it is today. She released her 1st Album in 1999, titled “Aye Asan”. She had released 5 Album over the years as a Nigerian Gospel Singers.
She was married to Pst. Gideon Ademakinwa with 2 kids, Divine & Belove.
She raised a choir, groomed many people for musical band as a music director at Eternal Revelation World Ministry, Elepe, Lagos State.
