In the English Premier League (EPL) match, Arsenal secured a 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace. The only goal of the match was scored by Martin Odegaard from the penalty spot after Eddie Nketiah was brought down by Crystal Palace’s goalkeeper, Sam Johnstone. The penalty was awarded following a quick free-kick taken by Gabriel Martinelli.
Despite being reduced to 10 men after left-back Takehiro Tomiyasu received a red card for two bookings, Arsenal managed to hold on to their lead. Tomiyasu’s first yellow card was given for taking too long over a throw-in, while the second was for a minor foul on Jordan Ayew.
Although Crystal Palace put on late pressure, Arsenal’s defense held firm, and the Gunners secured their victory. This win puts Arsenal alongside Brighton and Manchester City with six points each from two games in the league. On the other hand, Crystal Palace was unable to build on their opening-day win against Sheffield United.
