A clash between Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) officials and soldiers in Lagos has resulted in 15 LASTMA officials being injured. The conflict began when a soldier was stopped by LASTMA officials for violating traffic rules and an altercation escalated into a fight. A viral video also showed a soldier being flogged by LASTMA officials. In response, some soldiers attacked LASTMA officials in reprisal, leading many LASTMA officials to vacate their duty posts out of fear.
