A clash between Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) officials and soldiers in Lagos has resulted in 15 LASTMA officials being injured. The conflict began when a soldier was stopped by LASTMA officials for violating traffic rules and an altercation escalated into a fight. A viral video also showed a soldier being flogged by LASTMA officials. In response, some soldiers attacked LASTMA officials in reprisal, leading many LASTMA officials to vacate their duty posts out of fear. This incident highlights tensions between different government agencies and calls for resolution to prevent further escalation.
