Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, met with Prince Shaibu Audu Abubakar, the ministerial nominee from the state, at his Abuja residence. During the meeting, the Governor praised Shaibu Audu for his loyalty, patience, and patriotism towards the state and the nation, which led to his nomination as a minister-designate. He also appreciated Audu’s decision to accept the result of the APC governorship primary election and withdraw his case in the best interest of the state’s candidate. Governor Bello highlighted the enduring legacy of Audu’s late father, Prince Abubakar Audu, who advocated for a united Kogi State. He believes that Shaibu Audu’s role as a minister will enhance his father’s reputation as a politician who transcended tribal divisions. The Governor assured Audu of his unwavering support and encouragement once he assumes the ministerial position, reflecting his commitment to politics of equity, fairness, and justice that values every individual in the state, regardless of tribe or religion.
