“A former banker, Uchenna Emmanuel, shared the details of how he unintentionally used a customer’s ATM card five times to withdraw money. He was subsequently paraded by the Ondo State Police Command in Akure, the state capital. The suspect admitted to making withdrawals totaling N35,000 from the compromised POS machine without using any PIN. He claimed to have mistaken the customer’s card for his own and used it to make purchases from a company, leading to his immediate dismissal when the manager found out. Additionally, the police also paraded an okadaman involved in a robbery with others, targeting a businesswoman he had been taking to the market for years. In another case, 32-year-old Sulaiman Ayuba was arrested for murder and cultism in Owo after being on the run since May of the previous year. The state police command spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, stated that all the suspects would soon face charges in court.”
