Following criticism directed at Davido for endorsing the video, reports surfaced that he had gifted $10,000 to a hotel staff member who had returned $70,000 to a customer that accidentally left the money behind.
However, Kemi Olunloyo asserts that this act was pre-planned by Davido’s PR team to improve his public image after facing online backlash due to the contentious music video endorsement. She further claims that there was no actual money returned, and Davido did not genuinely donate $10,000 to the hotel staff, suggesting that it was all orchestrated to divert attention from the music video’s controversy.”
