The management of London Line Transport Company Ltd has petitioned Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, demanding the return of 32 vehicles that were seized by the Benue State Assets Recovery Committee. The company is also seeking payment of N5 billion in damages. The committee had stormed the workshop of London Line, claiming that the vehicles belonged to the state government. The petition, signed by the Chief Executive Officer of London Line Transport Ltd, Chief Emmanual Viashima, expressed dismay over the committee’s forceful entry into the premises, harassment of workers, and confiscation of vehicles. Viashima highlighted that the vehicles actually belonged to companies and individuals, and the negative publicity surrounding the incident has impacted the company’s reputation and business. The petition urged the governor to rectify the situation, release the seized vehicles, and compensate the company for its losses.
