Nigerian afrobeats singer, David Adeleke,
better known as Davido, has said he would be joyful if he wins a Grammy award.

He, however, continued that he didn’t release his latest album, ‘Timeless’ with the intention of winning awards.

Davido stated this in a recent interview with Brut.
The ‘Dami Duro’ crooner said he is an automated artiste, but for his partnership with The Cavemen and Grammy-award winning Beninese legend, Angélique Kidjo ‘Na Money’, he had to do a live record.

He said, “I was excited that I was out of my space and able to release that song [‘Na Money’]. Because I’m a programming artist; I record music digitally.

“But for that song [‘Na Money’], we had to record it live because The Cavemen record live.”

He continued, “If I win a Grammy, I will be Joyful, but I didn’t make this album [‘Timeless’] because I wanted to win anything.
I made this album going into it, you know, happy naturally, you know what I’m saying!”
