Champions League: Liverpool vs Roma: Klopp sends strong message to Reds fans.

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has admonished the club fans to be of good courage when his side will welcome Roma to Anfield on Tuesday night in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final match.

The Reds’ fans were criticised by UEFA authorities and club officials after numerous objects were thrown at the Manchester City team bus during the first leg quarter-final tie.

A window was smashed in the process, forcing City to have to find alternative transport home after the game.

Klopp, who is eager for similar scenes not to be repeated ahead of the semi-final clash with the Italian side, hopes that the fans will remain calm before and after the match.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Monday, Klopp said: “In the stadium do it again, even better, outside the stadium show the respect we have to show.

“Please, show them the respect. We are only opponents on the pitch.

“This wonderful city, we can show everyone how wonderful it is.

We can show that 20 minutes before the game.”

The kick off time for the match is 7:45pm.
